Attendance Area Boundary Q&A

My family has moved/has plans to move to different attendance area. How can I update this?

New proof of residency documentation is required each time a change of address occurs. Verification should be provided to the District within 30 days by completing an Affidavit of In District Residency form AND providing residency documentation to your child’s school.

Please see Proof of Residency instructions on the Enrollment Page of the Parents Tab of our website.

Proof of residency will be required of all PCR-3 families as we do each summer.

My student goes to a child care provider that is outside our attendance area. Will PCR-3 provide bus transportation from this provider to his/her school?

In the past, District transportation has been provided to and from alternate addresses, home-based child care providers, large-scale child care providers, and others.  Historically, this has not been a major issue, as there were no boundary lines on the north campus.

Transportation will be provided within school attendance boundaries to the primary address listed in the district’s student information database, generally the student’s home address.  Transportation may also be provided to alternate addresses, including home-based child care providers, as long as the address is within the same attendance area.  Transportation to and from large-scale providers of before and after school care will be provided to and from both Siegrist Elementary and Compass Elementary.

Large-scale providers will be defined as those providing before and after school care to six or more elementary students.  A process will be developed, to coincide with enrollment, for large-scale providers to determine eligibility.

Will Y Club be offered at Siegrist and Compass?

Yes, Y Club will be offered at both Siegrist Elementary and Compass Elementary, in addition to Pathfinder Elementary.

Will Siegrist and Compass have similar start and end times?

Yes, school hours at both buildings will be 8:50 a.m. to 3:50 p.m.

How can I ask more questions?

If you have additional questions, please feel free to speak with your child’s principal or call the District Education Center at 858-5420.
