Board of Education Meetings
Meetings of the Board of Education are generally held the third Thursday of each month with the regular business session beginning at 6:30 p.m. Board meetings are held either at the District Offices located at 1495 Branch and 92 Highway, Platte City, Missouri 64079 or at Barry School, 2001 N.W. 87th Terrace, Kansas City, Missouri 64154. Confirmation of location of Board of Education meetings should be made by calling 816-858-5420 during business hours Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Board of Education meetings are also posted on this website.
Business sessions are open to the public. Anyone wishing to address the board on an agenda item topic must first go through established administrative channels.

Board of Education Goals
- Close or eliminate the achievement gap between identified sub-groups by utilizing best practices with all programs related to student achievement.
- Plan and provide funding for facilities to accommodate growth in student population in order to maintain acceptable class sizes.
- Utilize available programs and techniques to promote optimal climate for learning.
- Attract, retain, develop and support highly qualified effective staff.
- Provide students with the skills and experiences necessary to be successful at their chosen post-secondary path.
- Enhance parent involvement in their child’s education, particularly at the high school and middle school levels, with the goal of making education a high priority in every home.
- Build relationships within the community as partners in the education of our children.
