Middle School Book Club
Middle School Book Club
Middle school students are invited to join us once a month for book club after school. We read the book before meeting, and then get together in the library for a discussion and snacks. We have read Coraline (Neil Gaiman), The Christmas Barn (Davis), Lost and Found (Scraffman), and The Princess Academy (Shannon Hale).
Literature Festival
Last year we attended the 39th Annual Children’s Literature Festival in Warrensburg, MO, on Tuesday, March 6. A group of 4-8 graders went to the festival and listened to four different authors/illustrators speak. Students had to qualify in order to go on the trip, and we plan to go again this year. Middle school students need to accumulate 75 Accelerated Reader points and to read books by the featured authors to attend.
