For Certified Staff to advance on the salary schedule, a teacher must obtain five college credit hours for each five year period starting from the date of employment. Pre-approved workshop hours will be counted as required college hours for salary schedule advancement. Fourteen hours of workshop will equal one hour of college credit. After reaching masters +40, a teacher must obtain three college credit hours for each five year period.
