Are you looking for a quality preschool experience for your child? August 25, 2008 will be the initiation date for the Platte County R-3 School District’s Great Beginnings Preschool Program. Great Beginnings Preschool will be an innovative program for the Platte County School district, targeting preschool age children who will be 4 by July 31, 2008 or who are already 5, but not eligible for kindergarten. Children will be able to explore and learn in a warm, hands-on environment which will allow these young learners to gain the knowledge and skills appropriate for their age and development.
Fall classes will begin on August 25, 2008 and will follow the school district calendar including early dismissals or cancellations. Great Beginnings Preschool will operate four days per week, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Morning classes will be conducted from 7:30 AM – 10:30 AM and afternoon classes will be conducted from 11:15 AM – 2:15 PM.
Great Beginnings Preschool will be located in the Platte County District Education Center, 998 Platte Falls Road in Platte City. Classes will be taught by certified teachers with a maximum classroom enrollment of 15 students. Tuition will be payable in ten equal payments of $230. There will be a one time enrollment fee of $40 and a supply fee of $30 per semester.
Preschool enrollment is open to all patrons of the PCR3 School District. Enrollment will be accepted at the Platte City Middle School, located at 900 Pirate Drive in Platte City. A one time nonrefundable registration fee of $40 is payable at the time of enrollment. The following documents are necessary for enrollment: your child’s social security card, up-to-date immunization information, birth certificate, and proof of residency.
