Pathfinder Elementary
Administration

The administration and staff welcome you to Pathfinder Elementary. Pathfinder is a kindergarten through second grade school in the highly-accredited Platte County School District. Upon meeting our staff, you will soon realize that Pathfinder’s main focus is on helping each child find a positive avenue for educational success.
This is my eighth year in education. Before making the transition to the Platte County School District, I spent four years teaching second grade and two years teaching third grade in the Park Hill School District. In the fall of 2006, I became the assistant principal at Barry School and remained in that position the following year. I obtained my undergraduate degree from Northwest Missouri State University and also earned my master’s degree in Elementary Administration from Northwest Missouri State University. Currently, I am working toward completing my doctorate in Teaching and Leadership from the University of Kansas. My wife, Jill, and I have one child. Our son, Drew, was born in August of 2006 and continues to add such joy and fun to our lives.
As a primary building, Pathfinder takes pride in helping each child mature academically. Our teachers do not lose sight of the individual qualities all children possess. Instead, the teachers at Pathfinder help to build on the specific strengths children have already developed and will work to improve on any weaknesses. Our goal is for every child to be successful and to take ownership of his or her education.
As mentioned previously, we want all children to take ownership of their education, but we also want parents to share in that ownership of and responsibility for their child’s education. In order for a child to be successful in school, a partnership between the parent and school must exist. Pathfinder welcomes you as we work together in creating a path for educational success.
Sincerely,
Mr. Devin Doll
Pathfinder Principal
