Pathfinder Elementary

Your child will visit Ms. Clower in the library at least once per week throughout the school year. Every week they will have the opportunity to check out books from the library.

Every student also has the opportunity to participate in the Accelerated Reader program. Accelerated Reader is a computerized reading enrichment program. Students begin by choosing a book on his/her reading level, from a selected list. After reading the selected book, the student can take a computerized quiz and answer questions about that book. The computer then awards points to the student based on the difficulty of the book and the number of questions the student answered correctly. This program is individualized, allowing each student to move at his or her own pace and level of ability. While most books in the Pathfinder library are eligible for Accelerated Reader tests, some are not. Here you will find a list of all Accelerated Reader-eligible books.

11/03/2008 Library update:

In order to make the library's transition from Barry to Pathfinder as efficient as possible, students will not be checking out books during the month of November. During this time the library's books will be packed up, moved, and made ready for checkout when we move to Pathfinder. Your child will still go to the library during their regularly scheduled times. Please return all library materials as soon as possible. Thank you!
