Pathfinder Elementary

One of the first things you will notice about Pathfinder Elementary is our outstanding PTA.  You can easily become part of this wonderful organization.  Pathfinder Elementary and Barry School will have one PTA organization for the 2008-09 school year.  As we begin the school year many opportunities will be made available for you to join PTA.  Your membership does not mean you are obligated to facilitate different events; however, PTA is always looking for volunteers.  This organization is a great way to get involved in your child’s school.  It provides many resources for our students (field trips, assemblies, family activity nights, items for our school…just to name a few).

PTA Major Saver Update!

The Barry School 2008 “Major Saver” discount cards will go on sale November 25th, 2008, in the Barry Elementary and Middle Schools. The public will have an opportunity to purchase the discount card for $10 from a Barry School or Pathfinder student/family or directly from the school or by calling the Barry School at 816-436-9623.

The Major Saver cards include discounts on purchases at: McDonalds, Planet Sub, Pizza Shoppe, Springs, Sheridan’s, On the Border, 54th Street, Captain D’s, Smoke Box, Northern Lights, Maggie Moo’s, River Roll, Carlito’s, Philly Time, and Fun Run. The discounts are valid one time at each location. These businesses support the Barry School and Pathfinder Elementary by sponsoring this important program.

Last year, the Major Saver program generated over $5,785.00 in revenues for the Barry School. The dates that you may purchase Major Saver Cards are November 25th through December 8th, 2008. Thank you for your support of the Barry School and Pathfinder Elementary!
