A Note From the Principal:
What a great time to be a Pirate! Especially a Platte County Pirate in the Platte County R-3 School District. This is my nineteenth year at Platte County and all have been spent here at the high school. There is no better place to work. We feel honored to work with great students, a great staff, and a very supportive community.

I received my undergraduate degree at Missouri Western State University, and my Master's degree in Secondary Administration and Supervision from Northwest Missouri State University. I then returned to Northwest Missouri State University and completed my Educational Specialist in Secondary Administration.

The Platte County R-3 High School is committed to our mission statement of creating a positive environment where students are empowered to develop to their fullest intellectual and personal potential as life-long learners. We have provided our students with more rigor throughout our curriculum by adding Challenge classes, Advanced Placement classes, and Dual College Credit classes. Our students have shown they are up to the challenge and will continue to step up because we simply have great students.

Our teachers are caring, devoted, and well-versed in their own fields of study and provide the support young high school students need. We provide the Parent-Link system for our parents to access their student's current grades, and our door is always open for our students and parents to come in and visit.

I would encourage everyone to completely view our website to discover all of the clubs and organizations we offer--not just for our students, but also for our parents to be involved with. More than any other time, parents must be involved in their children's lives during high school. It is our goal to make it a great educational experience for our students and a wonderful experience for parents.
