A+ Schools Program (High School based program)
The A+ Schools Program is a school-improvement initiative established by the Outstanding Schools Act of 1993. The program encourages students to stay in school, make career plans, tutor younger students in school, and graduate with the skills and knowledge required for career success or further education. The Platte County R-3 School District is approved by the State Board of Education as a Designated A+ School. Students wishing to work toward achieving A+ certification must sign an agreement. Specific expectations for the student are spelled out on that agreement.
