I would like to welcome you to Siegrist Elementary School in the Platte County R-3 School District. Serving the patrons of Platte County for the past twelve years has been an honor. During my first five years in the district I served as a classroom teacher. For the past seven years I have served as a building administrator in grades ranging from kindergarten to eighth grade. I received my undergraduate degree in education from Kansas State University. In 1999, I received a Masters degree in Elementary Leadership from Northwest Missouri State University. Three years later I earned a Specialist degree in Administration from the University of Kansas City Missouri.

At Siegrist Elementary, it is our Mission to help each of our students to become better problem solvers, lifelong learners, and responsible citizens. As a team we want to work with parents to ensure that our students are getting the best education possible.

Communication and parent involvement is very important to us. Our teachers send out newsletters that will keep you informed of the instructional programs and activities that are taking place at Siegrist. Each month a newsletter and calendar are sent out to the parents/guardians to provide further information about our school.

At Siegrist, we are always looking for ways to keep our parents involved with their child’s education. I would encourage you to join our excellent PTA. We meet on the third Tuesday of each month at 6pm in our library. The PTA provides wonderful learning opportunities as well as fun activities for our students.
