The PCMS Chess Club welcomes students from all levels, including beginner and expert alike! Learning our "Royal Game" is a great way to make new friends and strengthen your mind while having fun!

Certified chess instructors from the Kansas City Chess Club will be teaching players about important rules, chess etiquette, strategy, openings, end-games, and tactics. Research shows that chess improves test scores on Math, Reading, Memory, Critical Thinking, and more!

  • Musical Auditions - Jan 29 or 31

This year's musical production is Mary Poppins Jr.  Auditions will be held either Mon, Jan 29 or Wed, Jan 31 at PCMS from 3:00-5:00 pm.  Interested students should choose and attend only ONE audition date.  Callback auditions will be Thurs, Feb 1 from 3:00-5:00 pm at PCMS.  Not all students will be invited to callbacks.  However, if a student is not invited to callbacks, that doesn't mean they will not be cast in the musical.  The final cast list will be posted on Fri, Feb 2.  Musical rehearsals will begin the following Mon, Feb 5.

  • Academic Lab Schedule (Click Here for Days/Times)

We are happy to announce that our Academic Lab before and after school program has begun for the 2017-18 school year. The purpose of this program is to provide students with another opportunity to continually improve on what they are learning. If your child struggled on a test, project, or just needs some additional help, then they should be encouraged to attend Academic Lab and get that help.
