  • PCR-3 Announces Teacher/Service/Support Persons of the Year

    In early May, Platte County School District announced its Teacher, Service Person, and Support Person of the Year, surprising each at their building's all-school assemblies. This year's Teacher of the Year is Carmen Marshall, 8th Grade Social Studies Teacher at Barry School); Service Person of the Year is Dene't Wyckoff, Social Worker at Siegrist Elementary; and Support Person of the Year is Tammy Ferrebee, Custodian at Compass Elementary.

  • PCHS Engineering Continuing to Lead the Way at State

    Congratulations to PCHS Project Lead the Way engineering students! They sent 13 to state at Tan-Tar-A in early May, and eight came home as State Champions! In addition, one student won two State Championships, one project earned a perfect score, and two students received the Best of Show plaque and medal for not only a State Championship but being the best project in their whole category!

  • PCHS Spreads Jellybean Festival to the Northland

    No, this isn't an event celebrating candy, rather, it's a unique festival featuring performances by local special education students. On May 5, Platte County High School (PCHS) welcomed more than 60 students along with their coaches and fans from seven surrounding districts, for a fun-filled day of special performances, dance breaks, food, and games, concluding with an awards ceremony in PCHS's Wilson Auditorium.

  • PCHS Musicians Earn High Ratings at State

    On April 26, PCHS's Instrumental and Vocal Music Departments sent 84 musicians in 65 events to the MSHSAA State Solo/Small Ensemble Music Festival held at University of Missouri-Columbia, with 27 events bringing home gold medals.
