Mrs. Lauren Parrish

My name is Lauren Parrish and I have been a Speech-Language Pathologist in the Platte County School District since 2010. I grew up in Lawson, MO and graduated from Lawson High School in 2004. From there I attended both undergraduate and graduate school at the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg. I completed my Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders in 2008 and finished my Master of Science degree in Communication Disorders in 2010. I received my Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership-Special Education Director from Arkansas State University in 2017. I am the SLP for Siegrist Elementary. I am also an assistant softball coach for the PCHS Lady Pirates and an assistant coach for the PCHS track team. My husband, Jamar, works at PCHS in the ISS classroom. My daughter, Dasia, is a 7th grader at Platte City Middle School and my son, Andrew is a 5th grader at Siegrist. Our youngest son, Maclin is 4 and will be in Pre-K at Willow Woods Learning Center!  My family means the world to me and I love to share stories with my students about all of them! I am a HUGE Missouri Tigers fan! On most weekends in the fall, when I am not at a softball tournament, you can find me in Columbia rooting on my Tigers football team! I like to spend time with my family and friends, swim in the summer, try new recipes, go to Royals baseball games, and just have a great time! I am looking forward to this school year and seeing all of the challenges and successes it brings for me and our kiddos! GO PIRATES!!!
