Speech-Language Pathologist

Welcome to my page! This is my third year as a speech-language pathologist in the Platte County R-3 school district. This 2017-2018 school year, I serve 5th-8th grade and early childhood students at Barry School. As a speech-language pathologist, my goal is to help students' overall communication skills, including but not limited to: speech sounds, fluency, vocabulary, spoken and written grammar, social communication, answering questions, following directions, reading comprehension, etc.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my fiance (wedding date has finally been set for June of 2018!), and our 2 adorable dogs: a mini Austrailian shepherd and a black lab, working on updating our home (currently finishing the basement and doing some backyard landscaping), watching sports (Royals, Chiefs, Sporting KC), as well as biking, hiking, and camping. I also really enjoy reading (I have recently been on a Tom Clancy and Michael Crichton kick).

In my short time at PCR3, working with the students, parents, and faculty has been extremely rewarding. I have enjoyed watching the students as they gain knowledge, and in turn, working with them has helped to enhance my skills and knowledge base as a speech language pathologist. I look forward to working with new and familiar faces this year!

Let's go Pirates!
