Math Teacher
Platte County High School

This is my second year as a Pirate as I just moved from Park Hill High School, where I taught Advanced Placement Calculus AB, Advanced Placement Calculus BC and Advanced Placement Statistics for 13 years. I also obtained my National Board Certification for Young Adult Mathematics while teaching there. Before PHHS, I taught at Justice HS (formally J.E.B. Stuart HS) in Washington D.C., the "Most Diverse High School in Our Nation" according to National Geographic at the time.

I obtained my undergraduate degree in Mathematics from Graceland University and my Masters Degree in Mathematics from Texas Christian University. I also taught as adjunct faculty at TCU.

I have also worked as an Advanced Placement Reader and Table Leader for College Board for 9 years grading the AP Calculus AB, BC, International, and Alternate Exams.

My two kids, Giavanna and Polo, have loved being a Pirate at Siegrist Elementary and PCMS... and I love all the friends and family I have in Platte City and look forward to being a more integral part of the community!
