WELCOME VIDEO

I am excited to begin my sixteenth year in education and my first year as part of Pirate Nation!

Prior to entering the education field, I gained a vast array of workforce knowledge, including serving in the United States Army. I truly believe that every position led me to where I am today... helping tomorrow's leaders build their future.

When I'm not busy planning for class, I am always trying to find ways to travel or spend time with my daughters, grandchildren, friends, and other family. I also love desktop publishing, scrapbooking, and live theatre (on and off the stage or big screen).

I have lived in Missouri, Iowa, Texas, Virginia, Nebraska, and Germany, but I was born in St. Joseph and have always called this side of the state "home." Prior to moving back to the area, I lived in mid-MO, where I was a teacher and administrator. Five years ago, I returned to the classroom to do exactly what I came into education to do... to make a difference through connecting and planting seeds in the lives of students -- regardless of their past, present, or perceived future!
