  •   Welcome to Second Grade!

This is my 12th year with the Platte County School District.  Previously, I taught 10 years in the Smithville School District and 7 years at Little Lambs Preschool.  My past teaching experiences include teaching Pre-K, 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade.  I have lived and worked in the Northland my entire life.  I attended Winnetonka High School and went on to graduate from the University of Central Missouri with a B.A. in Elementary Education.  Later, I earned a M.S. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Missouri- Kansas City.
Outside of school, my husband, Rob, and I are parents to 19 year old twins, Jake and Rachel.   Jake attends my alma mater, University of Central Missouri (GO MULES, GO JENNIES!).   Rachel attends Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri.  Our family loves the lake!   If I am not at school, you will probably find me on our boat reading a book or just relaxing.
My goal is that your child have a positive second grade school year!  I hope years from now, they can look back and say, "I LOVED second grade!  Our teacher made learning fun."
Feel free to contact me anytime you have questions, concerns or comments.
