HELLO current and future Pirates!  I am thrilled to be a part of the most energetic, caring and motivated staff in Platte County.  My wish is that your child's educational experience begins with a warm welcome in the office, and pours into a world of rigorous academics delivered by the most qualified and caring staff.  I want your child to look forward to every day of learning at Siegrist.

I am a Kansas State University graduate (two times over). First, graduating with my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, and then again with my Master's degree in School Counseling. I received my administrative endorsements from Northwest Missouri State. As a life-long learner, I am sure that this won't be my last shot at higher education.  After working in a neighboring school district for many years as a school counselor and assistant principal, the opportunity to bring my family to Platte City presented itself. My husband, Lynn and our two children, Alex and Andy are very excited to be a part of the community as well. I look forward to building strong relationships with all students and families during the school year. I believe there is no better way to nurture your child then supporting the education that will feed their growth for years past our home lives. If you are looking for ways to partner with Siegrist, I encourage you to contact your child's teacher, or join our PTA. There are many levels of involvement and commitment.

If you have any questions, or searching for answers in anyway, please feel free to contact me.   My door is always open.  I look forward to meeting you!

Welcome to Siegrist...where our vision is, "Building Learners of Tomorrow..."

Welcome to Siegrist Elementary School in the Platte County R3 School District! I am excited to work with our students and their families to ensure that our students have meaningful educational experiences that will prepare them for a successful future. As both a parent and administrator in the Platte County School District, I understand the importance of building relationships with our students and their families and look forward to working together to make a difference in the lives of our students. This will be my 14th year in education. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from William Jewell College, my Master’s Degree in Education from Rockhurst University and my Education Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Northwest Missouri State University.  My husband, Brian, and I reside in Kansas City, Missouri and have a son, Cooper (age 14), and a daughter, Semra (age 8).
