Posted on 04/17/2026

Platte County High School student journalists have earned top recognition at the state level, highlighted by two students being named to the 2026 Missouri All-State Journalism Team, one of the highest honors in scholastic journalism.

Seniors Adelaide Bonsignore and Jack Shroyer were selected as two of just 10 students statewide for the prestigious All-State team. The honor recognizes students who serve as the “most valuable players” of their programs, demonstrating exceptional leadership, dedication, and expertise, often through critical behind-the-scenes contributions that make student publications possible.

“Having two students selected for the All-State team is an incredible achievement and a testament to the strength of our journalism program,” said Devan Foos, PCHS Journalism Teacher. “Adelaide and Jack exemplify the commitment, creativity, and leadership that define excellence in student media.”

In addition to the All-State Team honors, Platte County High School students earned recognition across multiple categories in yearbook, newspaper, photography, and broadcast journalism. These awards celebrate both individual and team excellence, showcasing the wide range of student talent and the program’s commitment to high-quality, real-world learning experiences.
