• Information on NCC's Reopening Plan

As of August 4, NCC's first day of school will now be Tuesday, September 8.   Communication was sent to parents on August 4 from NCC Director Brian Noller.

This change comes in response to recommendations from our local health authorities (Platte County Health Department, Clay County Health Department, and Kansas City Health Department), and based on recent increases in COVID-19 in our area. This change also allows our NCC staff to better prepare for the change in school environment (both for in-person learning and remote learning), by participating in training and professional development for two full weeks before the start of school.

NCC will be offering students two different options for 1st Semester.

    1. Full In Person Learning

    2. Full Remote Learning (with approval from sending school administration)

Families will be asked to declare which they prefer for the entire 1st Semester.  We will also ask some other informational questions to aid with our planning for the upcoming school year.

If the Platte County R3 School District closes our campus, we will transition to full remote learning for all students.  Students will still be required to attend class virtually and grading will continue (unlike last Spring.)

If your sending school is providing transportation for you, no matter which type of plan they are following, students will be able to attend NCC.  Additionally, if NCC has in person classes and a student has their own transportation, they will also be able to attend NCC.  Parking passes will still need sending school and parent approval, but there will be no cost.  Students should not ride with other students unless from the same household.

For specific details on all NCC Reopening Plans, please see this document.

Parent Declaration Survey is linked here - Please complete no later than August 10, at 8 p.m.  We would prefer that the survey be filled out for all students, however if the declaration survey is not completed, it will be assumed the student(s) will be attending in person.
