PCHS's Ashlyn Brantley Advances to State Teacher Finalist

Ashlyn Brantley Our own Ashlyn Brantley, PCHS physical education and health teacher and PCR-3 Teacher-of-the-Year, is in the running for Missouri Teacher-of-the-Year!

From Ashlyn's nomination: Ashlyn Brantley, physical education and health teacher at Platte County High School, demonstrates how students can handle responsibilities with patience and integrity. Even before she made history helping the Platte County High School boys soccer team reach its first state soccer championship, parents, peers, and students noticed her high level of leadership. Ashlyn treats every player and student with the same respect and motivation to see each one improve. Her enthusiasm for helping students be their best extends to their lives off the field. Students know they can turn to her for advice, support and guidance. Her role as coach often involves duties as mom, therapist, laundromat and chef, and she never turns away somebody who needs help. Ashlyn, thank you for giving your students the attention, respect, and dedication they need to succeed.
