School Locator Tool
Platte County School District’s School Locator tool is provided as a convenience to families. While we strive to keep boundary information current and accurate, some addresses located near school district or attendance boundaries may display incorrectly.
Official boundary determinations are made by the District. For confirmation of your assigned school, or to report a potential inaccuracy in the locator tool, please contact the District at 816-858-5420.
How to Use the Tool
- Click the Tools icon on the right side of the screen
- Select School Boundaries – Platte County R3
- District boundaries will appear; each color represents one of the four elementary attendance areas
- Blue - Compass Elementary
- Orange - Siegrist Elementary
- Green - Barry Elementary
- Pink - Pathfinder Elementary
To Search an Address
- Enter the street address and ZIP code in the search bar OR Select the teal pin to click directly on a property
- Under the dropdown menu, select "All Grades and Schools"
- The elementary attendance area matching your address will appear in the results
Feeder Pattern
- Compass and Siegrist Elementary feed into Platte City Middle School
- Barry and Pathfinder Elementary feed into Platte Purchase Middle School
- All attendance areas feed into Platte County High School

District Boundary Map
Platte County R-3 School District has more than 100 square miles within its boundaries. The District stretches from Barry Road to north of Platte City. The map shown below indicates four elementary attendance areas and two middle school areas, all feeding into Platte County High School. These attendance areas took effect starting with the 2023-24 school year. Click here to view the attendance areas map in detail.
