Winter Weather Information

Click here for information on school cancellations/modifications due to inclement weather, how the District will notify parents, as well as recess, Y Club information, and information on Inclement Weather Virtual Learning Days. For the 2025-26 school year, PCR-3 will implement the following Inclement Weather Plan:

  • First 3 Inclement Weather Days: These will be traditional inclement weather days with no school and no virtual learning. 
  • Inclement Weather Days 4-9: These will be designated as Alternative Methods of Instruction (AMI) days, where virtual learning will take place. 
  • Inclement Weather Days Beyond 9: These will either be traditional snow days with no school or virtual learning. If necessary, additional school days may be added after Memorial Day.

Parent and Student Portal - PowerSchool and Canvas

PCR-3's student and parent information system (PowerSchool) allows parents access to keep up to date on grades and assignments (for students in grades 6-12), attendance, and we will soon have active links to meal payments and fees.  Click here for more information on using PowerSchool and Canvas as a parent.

Parent IgNIGHT Information Sessions

Research shows that students do better when parents and the community are involved - test scores rise, remediation rates drop, graduation rates improve, and everyone understands and values their roles in the success of our students. Platte County School District's Parent IgNIGHT series of informative parent sessions is designed to include, inform, involve, and ignite parents, as we believe included, informed, and involved parents can contribute to student success.
