Hall of Fame

The Hall of Fame program was started by the PCHS Booster Club in 1999 as a way to recognize special volunteers, former teachers/employees, or anyone who has contributed significantly to the enhancement of the Platte County R-3 School District. Hall of Fame nominations are typically accepted around October 1, and the Hall of Fame inducts new members in January. Click here to view the list of inductees to date.

"Next Level" Pirates

Any former PCHS Pirates who are currently competing in college athletics/activities are encouraged to submit a photo in their college uniform along with the expected college graduation date to Gabe Middleton, Activities Director. These photos will go on PCHS's "Next Level" wall as a way to inspire our current student athletes and activities participants.

Piratology

Piratology

Piratology, a group of alumni brought together to document the history of the Platte County R-3 School District, is unveiling its historical timeline chronicling district events by decade in a museum-quality type exhibit. The timeline has been installed in the Platte County High School adjacent to the Wilson Center for the Performing Arts entrance, and features photos and key accounts from each decade from the 1940s to the current day. Although the first school in Platte City was built in 1910, the proposal to reorganize the school district was posed in the 1940s and the district became Platte County R-III in the early 1950s. Photos and historical events can be added to the display and edited as new information is uncovered. Alumni are encouraged to donate or loan photographs and artifacts that help tell the district's story and provide additional documentation of significant events. The timeline has been designed to be a living documentation of Pirate history and is being funded through donations. The Class of 2015, the Platte County Education Foundation, and Scholar Dollars are listed donors to date.
