PowerSchool Parent and Student Portal

Guide to Parent Portal Image PowerSchool is our student and parent information system. This system will allow parents and students access to important, up-to-date student information. With effective parent communication and involvement, we can help drive student success. Parent Portal allows parents access to class schedules, attendance, homework, grades, meals and fees payments, and other forms.

Parents should receive their initial Parent Portal Access ID and Password (for each student) during registration or by calling your child's school.

Click here to create an account and login.

Students will be able to login to Student Portal using their school email address and password.

Canvas Learning Management System

Canvas Observer Guide imagePlatte County R-3’s learning management system in grades
6-12 is Canvas. In Canvas, the “Observer” role is used for parents to allow them to see what is going on in their student’s courses.

Parents/guardians will receive a Canvas Observer code from each of their students. Once a parent has been paired with a student in Canvas, you will not need to be paired again (you’ll remain paired throughout their 6th-12th grades).

SeeSaw Learning Experience Platform

Platte County School District uses Seesaw as a digital platform to strengthen the home to school connection and support student learning in grades kindergarten to 5th grade. Seesaw allows students to create and share their work in a digital portfolio, giving families a window into the classroom experience. Teachers can share announcements, assignments, photos, and student work, helping families stay informed and engaged in their child’s learning journey.

Through Seesaw, families can:

  • View their child’s learning and progress in real time
  • Receive classroom updates and important announcements
  • Encourage and celebrate their child’s achievements
  • Stay connected with teachers in a safe, secure environment
  • Engage in Virtual Learning on District AMI days

By using Seesaw, we hope to build stronger partnerships between home and school and provide families with meaningful ways to support their child’s growth.
